Mendi Night

I come from a big family and we have many weddings. The problem is I often struggle to find the right outfit. I’m sure you can relate so I thought I’d share some ideas.

One of my closest cousins got married recently and my whole family had so much fun enjoying the festivities! The build up to the wedding is so exciting and one of the pre-wedding celebrations is to have a Mendi night where everyone comes dressed in Eastern wear. There’s usually henna painting, Bollywood singing (and dancing) and good food.

This is a traditional Gujarati dress, consisting of a turquoise blouse and skirt.

I’d love to hear about the fun times and dresses you wore at your wedding festivities. I need more ideas too!
